Rising Star

 

This category is looking to the new bright lights within the media industry who have a total of less than 7 years working with agencies and/or media owners.

The Rising Star is someone who has made a significant and exceptional contribution to their business and to the industry as a whole.

This category is open to all staff of media agencies and media owners that have worked in the marketing communications industry for a maximum of 7 years in total on the closing date for entries.

Entries will be accepted from the candidate themselves OR 3rd parties.

The candidates line manager should include a supporting statement with their entry

Shortlisted entrants will be called for an interview with the judging panel in order to determine the overall winner.

To be considered for Agency of the year, entrants must have submitted a minimum of two entries into other categories in the 2018 Media Awards

10% of the marks for Media Agency of the Year will be awarded based on shortlisting and success (Gold, Silver, Bronze) in the 2018 Awards.

This category looks to reward excellence in concept development and creative execution/direction for advertising content by a media owner on behalf of a client or agency

The category is cross media and can be any single medium or a combination.

Media Brand of the Year

This award recognises the outstanding media brand on the Island of Ireland.

For the purposes of clarity:

A Media Brand is a specific brand delivering content to audiences on one of more media platforms and NOT the parent brand or holding company.

This category examines  the Media Brand as an offering to audiences producing and delivering relevant content and engagement AND as a commercial offering, delivering audiences to advertisers.

The judges will look for evidence of brand development, delivery to agencies and advertisers, success within the media marketplace and influence on media practice AS WELL AS successful delivery of content to its audience and engagement with them.

Specific criteria and weightings can be found in the entry template.

Shortlisted entrants in this category will be called for interview with the judging panel.

The final result will be weighted 50/50 based on the written submission and the live presentation.

Weighting will be given to the nature and delivery of the live presentation .

Media Hero

The Media Hero is a special award presented to, in the opinion of the organisers, an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the Media Industry

This category cannot be entered directly, and the recipient will be announced at the Media Awards Ceremony.

Network of the Year

The Agency network of the Year is decided by a numerical formula based on the number of Shortlistings, Bronze, Silver & Gold awards achieved by all the agencies within that network.

Grand Prix
