Meadhbh Quinn is an accomplished, results orientated Marketing Director with over 20 years’ experience working in global corporations and with smaller entrepreneurial businesses. She has worked in a variety of multinational industries including telecommunications, software, media and financial services. Meadhbh has held many successful senior positions within Virgin Media Ireland, 02, Meteor, Independent News and Media & permanent tsb. She has also run her own marketing consultancy working closely with start-ups and indigenous b2b firms. She is a fellow of the Marketing Institute of Ireland since 2010 and has won 6 All Ireland Marketing Awards across a range of marketing disciplines. She is a regular adjudicator on industry award schemes, has spoken at conferences in Dublin, Amsterdam, London and NY.

As Head of Marketing for Virgin Media, Meadhbh developed the strategy and delivered the end to end rebrand programme and business transformation of UPC to VM. This strategy transformed UPC, an ailing utility brand, witnessing declines in market share, to a game changing Virgin brand. She worked closely with senior stakeholders in Virgin Enterprise Global, Virgin Media UK & Liberty Global to deliver aggressive commercial & brand KPI’s. As well as managing all aspects of Virgin Medias rebrand Meadhbh has demonstrated an ability in change management, customer experience and transformation of business operations combining the overall strategic vision of the company with excellent leadership and communication skills required to lead a diverse and multicultural workforce.

Before joining Virgin Media Meadhbh was Head of Brand & Marketing Communications for Meteor Mobile. She built the Meteor brand in Ireland over a 6.5-year period. Meteor became the fastest growing mobile brand in the category, delivering the highest Prepaid ARPU’s, highest NPS scores and consistently strong brand equity scores. Market share grew to 20% by 2012 from single digit in 2006. In addition to managing all aspects of marketing she developed and implemented the brands digital strategy, launching web chat while developing strong social media channels, eventually transitioning over 10% of all bill pay sales online. Meadhbh was also responsible for the brands retail expansion programme (extending store footprint to a national one with 40 stores), media strategy and management, sponsorship and PR.

Meadhbh has run her own marketing consultancy, working with start-ups and established b2b players from industries as diverse as technology, financial services, professional service firms and retail. During this time Meadhbh proved herself to be adept at working in fast paced dynamic organisations driving real growth and sustainability by helping companies define their strategy, articulate their point of difference, define their value proposition as well as implementing marketing and sales plans to deliver real growth. She also worked as a mentor with InterTrade Ireland.

In Sep Meadhbh left the corporate world to start consulting again. She is currently working as a consultant for b2b technology and consulting firms. She remains a mentor of EI and is actively involved in a number of pro bono programmes around diversity and female leadership.
