Dr. Rosie Hand is the discipline Head of Advertising and Communications in the School of Marketing and Entrepreneurship at TU Dublin, where she leads the strategic and operational management of research, programme development and design and teaching within the discipline.
With a passion for programme quality and innovative knowledge delivery, Rosie designs flexible learning environments that bridge academia and industry. She is currently leading the development of Ireland’s first Advertising and Communications apprenticeship, in partnership with IAPI and a team of pioneering industry experts. Her own research examines the evolving landscape of Irish advertising agencies in the context of rapid change, using institutional theory to explore shifting roles and responsibilities within the sector.
Rosie has built a strong network within the advertising and communications industries and works closely with key industry bodies, including IAPI, AAI, Marketing Institute Ireland, and ASAI. She also represents TU Dublin in Edcom, the European Institute for Commercial Communications Education.
