Terms & Conditions of Entry to The Media Awards


The Media  Awards are a joint venture between The Brainfood Store (With an Address at 92 Lower Georges Street DunLaoghaire, Co Dublin ) and Adworld Ventures Limited with an address at 63 Leeson Street Lower (The Organisers).

The Award are administered by Alchemy Event Management Limited.  Alchemy Event Management is the principal for payments for the awards.

All entries for Awards must be uploaded to the online entry system by the designated closing date although entry deadlines may be extended at the discretion of the organisers.

No entry is considered accepted by the Organisers until the appropriate Fee (The Fee)  is paid in full (Inclusive of VAT) and the organisers reserve the right to withdraw any entries from the awards judging process if The Fee has not been received.

All entries must be a truthful representation of the entrant’s work.

All entrants agree to be bound by the decisions of the judges and accept no correspondence will be entered into in relation to decisions reached.

All material submitted in support of an entry is warranted by the entrant to be their property and is entered without any encumbrances by third parties. Entries will be considered for work conducted within the island of Ireland.

Each submission must clearly explain why you believe it should be considered and must address the specific criteria the judges have set out in each category.

Once you have submitted your entry you will not be able to make any amendments.

The deadline for nominations may be extended at the discretion of The Organisers.

The entrant indemnifies and agrees to keep indemnified The Organisers for any claims arising out of any material, statements or claims made as part of their entry.

The entrant agrees that the organisers of the awards are entitled to judge their entry and select what they consider to be the winner in a given category without recourse to the entrants.

The entrant agrees that should they be shortlisted for an Award they will provide a representative to attend the award ceremony to accept the trophy in the event they are successful. The organisers reserve the right, and the entrant agrees to same, that where the shortlisted entrant fails to send a representative to attend the event the organisers can withdraw the relevant shortlisted entry(s) from the competition without further recourse.

If the entrant attends the awards ceremony (Regardless of whether they win an award or not) they grant permission to the organisers to use any photographs, video, sound, written or other material as it sees fit and without restriction.

Entries received without the required entry form will be deemed invalid and withdrawn from the Awards.

The organisers reserves the right to withdraw an entry from the judging process at any time if the entry is deemed inappropriate for any reason.  In this situation the entrant will be refunded the cost of their entry (Including VAT) The organisers decision in this matter  is final.

The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Judges have the option to give anonymous feedback to entrants but are NOT obliged to do so.  In situations where feedback is given it will be passed on to the entrant but the identity of the specific judge will NOT be revealed.

By submitting your nomination form all entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and procedures and the have agreed to be bound by them when entering this awards programme.

By submitting this nomination form you are agreeing to be contacted by The Organisers specifically in relation to this awards programme.

It is our policy to never disclose any customer data to any third party, apart from such instances where this disclosure would be required for legal reasons. You can pay in the full confidence that your information will be treated in the strictest confidence.

At The Media Awards we fully recognise the importance of security regarding the credit card information you send us over the Internet. At no time is your credit card number available to us. This website takes every precaution to protect our customer’s information. When customers submit sensitive information via the website, such information is protected both online and off-line.

We use Global Payments Ltd (Formally Realex) who are an industry leader in the Internet shopping field.  We reserve the right to change our payment provider at any time.

When you place an order and where sensitive information is required, the transmission of information is encrypted and protected using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). This includes the submission of any payment information such as credit card details.

We use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online and do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. All of our customer’s information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example billing administration or the development team) are granted access to personally identifiable information.
