Anna has a BA and MA in Modern Irish from University College Dublin. Anna was awarded an M. Phil in Applied Linguistics, Trinity College Dublin in 2015 and an Applied Diploma in Strategic Digital Marketing, TU in 2021.
She spent six years developing Irish language and Gaeltacht programmes in the Department of Modern Irish, University College Dublin as Director/Assistant of An Teanglann.
In 2007, Anna was appointed Director of Comhar na Múinteoirí Gaeilge, a support organisation for teachers who were teaching Irish or through the medium of Irish. As Director, she developed multiple supports for Irish along with publications, Irish language resources and projects for schools.
Anna was appointed Head of Irish with Hibernia College in 2011 where she redesigned the provision of Gaeltacht student placements as well as the College’s Irish language modules, assessments and examinations for student teachers.
Anna is now Communications, Marketing and Awareness Manager with Foras na Gaeilge, which is responsible for the promotion of the Irish language throughout the island of Ireland. In recent years, she led Irish language social media campaigns for Foras na Gaeilge, including Creidim Ionat, with the support of RTÉ.
