Peter McPartlin has once again been appointed as the independent chairperson of the Media Awards Judging Panel.
Well known and universally respected, Peter will oversee the judging process and the selection of key judges for the awards again in 2022.
This position is paid and independent of the organisers.
Following best practice internationally the awards judging process going forward will be split into two distinct sections.
Round One – Shortlisting
A panel of domestic and international judges, overseen by the Judging Chair will remotely review the submissions in each category and score them according to a category specific, published set of criteria. These scores will be combined mathematically, and this will yield a shortlist of six in each category.
Round Two – Live Judging
The 2nd round of judging will take place live, over two days. A panel of judges will view and judge a 15 minutes presentation from each shortlisted entrant. Judges will be drawn from outside the domestic market as well as locally. Each judge will be given a specific focus / criteria across all entries that they are reviewing. The Gold, Silver and Bronze awards will be decided here.
